Some agencies and buying companies want to use component "weights" to reduce the effective value of GRPs in components. The idea is that if some daypart or other component is viewed less attentively, then we will only count a portion of the GRPs placed on to it. (But note that some agencies are strongly opposed to this approach.)

 

In TView, each component optionally can be marked with a component weight. This weight is multiplied by entered GRPs to arrive at a delivery weight that will be used in calculations.

 

In its reports, TView shows both the original entered GRPs and the summary weighted GRPs.
