What IS a Daypart?
It used to be that the word "daypart" meant merely part of a day. Media planners would specify components of a broadcast plan using days of the week and times of the day.
Today, the definition has been broadened considerably. We use "daypart" to mean any collection of buyable entities, considered as a unit. Thus, "Monday through Friday, 10 am to 3pm" is a daypart, but so is "Discovery and TLC between 6pm and midnight except for the program 'Walking With Dinosaurs'".
In TView, several different qualifiers are available to help define dayparts. They are:

A daypart may be defined by a single qualifier, such as: Monday through Friday, 10 am to 3pm
Or, a daypart may be defined by several qualifiers: Discovery and TLC between 6pm and midnight except for the program "Walking With Dinosaurs"
